TRANS-ATLANTIC BUSINESS DIALOGUE

Hidden from public scrutiny and armed with the protection of the Chicago
Police, the Trans-Atlantic Business Dialogue (TABD) will bring together
large European and North American corporations with high-level government
officials to develop the public policy of corporate globalization. The
recommendations made by this public-private body set the agenda for the
World Trade Organization (WTO) and continuously strengthen the right of
corporations to operate globally without any accountability.
Invited corporations commonly use sweatshop-labor, practice union-busting,
and violate workplace, environmental and consumer legislation to promote
profits (Ford, Lafarge, Wal-Mart, Dell). Some corporations have profited
from the illegal dumping of hazardous materials (Unilever) and the
widespread sale of untested genetically-modified food (Monsanto). Some even
use patents and intellectual property protections to block the distribution
of affordable generic HIV/AIDS drugs to the global south, killing 3 million
people a year in South Africa alone (Pfizer, Glaxo Wellcome, Bayer)
The TABD meeting will be co-chaired by the Chicago-based Boeing Corporation
and the UK-based BAE systems, two of the biggest weapons manufacturers and
profiteers of the Israeli occupation of Palestine, the recent war in
Afghanistan, and the 11 year bombing of Iraq. Along with attendant oil
companies BP and Shell, who are invested in pipeline projects throughout the
Afghanistan-Pakistan region, we can expect to see more private money made
off the so-called "War on Terror" and foreign policy which reflects the
lucrative business of war and a disregard for human life.
TABD‚s agenda benefits the few at the expense of the many. What we need is
autonomy, food for our families, clean water, free healthcare, schools,
independent media, diversity, democracy, and affordable housingİnot
wealthier corporations!

Anti-War March and Rally Downtown to Protest the TABD
Meet at Boeing's world headquarters at Washington and Canal at 4:30PM.
Come mark the trail of blood and money that leads from Boeing to the Federal
Building, through the Tribune Towers to the door of the TABD.
Friday Nov 8th
A Day of Autonomous Actions
Look for citizen interventions, counter-summits, and TABD tailgating parties
happening throughout Chicago.

Escondido de la mirada pública y armada con la protección de la Policia
Chicagüense, el Dialogo del Comercio Trans-Atlantico (TABD) juntará a las
grandes corporaciones estadounidenses y europeas con altos funcionarios de
gobierno para desarrollar la política de la globalización corporativa. Las
recomendaciones hechas por esta alianza pública-privada definen la agenda de
la Organización Mundial de Comercio (OMC) y continuamente fortalecen el
derecho de corporaciones para operar globalmente sin responsabilidad a los
pueblos.
Los INVITADOS a esta reunion son corporaciones que explotan a sus empleados,
no permiten sindicalizacion, y violan las reglas laborales, medioambientales
e incluso de sus consumidores. Corporaciones invitadas como FORD, LAFARGE,
WAL-MART o DELL rompen estas normativas para hacer mas y mas beneficios.
Otras corporaciones se han befeciado de vertederos ilegales de desechos
toxicos (UNILEVER)y de la venta generalizada de comida geneticamente
modificada sin comprovacion previa de sus consequencias (MONSANTO). Algunas
corporaciones incluso han utilizado patentes y otras trampas legales para
bloquear la distribucion de medicinas genericas en contra del SIDA.
Especialmente en nuestros paises latinoamericanos y matando a 3 millones de
personas cada ano solo en South Africa (PFIZER, GLAXO WELLCOME, BAYER).
La reunion del TABD será co-patrocinado por la Corporación Boeing (de
Chicago) y Sistemas BAE (del Reino Unido), dos de las manufacturadores que
mas ganen de la ocupación israeli de Palestina, la guerra reciente en
Afganistán, y el bombardeo de los ultimos 11 años de Irak. Junto con las
compañías petroleras de BP y Shell, que han invertido en oleoductos por toda
la region Afganistán-Pakistán, podemos esperar que ganarán aún más lucro de
la "Guerra al Terrorismo" y que la política exterior del EE.UU. reflejará su
negocio de guerra y su desprecio para la vida humana.
La agenda del TABD beneficie los pocos al costo de los multitudes.
Necesitamos autonomía, comida para nuestras familias, agua limpio, servicio
gratuito de salud, escuelas, medios independientes, diversidad, democracia,
y viviendaİ no corporaciones aun más ricas!

corporaciones, que TABD representa.

Canal a las 4:30PM. En las sombras de su cumbre corporativo, venga a seguir
la pista de sangre y dinero que va desde Boeing al Edificio Federal, por
medio de los Torres Tribunales, a la puerta del TABD *Mostraremos las
huellas de sangre y dinero con arte creativo.
